Nutsfreezer Race
October 28
SHBCC

Despite the fact that many people did not participate due to having brought their boats home for the storm, we had a 10 boat turnout which was pretty good. The consensus was that the wind was fantastic and it was one of the most fun Nutsfreezers in recent memory.

Sandy Hook Hobie Points Regatta
August 18-19

This past weekend, we had our annual Hobie Points Regatta which was also the division Hobie 16 championship. We had a great turnout of approximately 30 boats. Nearly all possible weather conditions were experienced. Sunday morning brought us strong winds and rain in the morning. Conditions were so borderline that our RC had the racers vote on whether they wanted to go or not. However, the decision to race lead to one of the fastest and most fun sailing days of the year!

One of the coolest things about the event is that we had two young sailors participating in their first Hobie regatta! It was awesome to have Benson Chiles and Cameron Adamson participating in the event and they sailed very well!

Not surprisingly, team SHBCC had a great turnout:
